Welcome to Larson’s Story Time, where we prove that plants have just as much personality (and occasionally more attitude) as people! We believe the world needs a lot more room for the lighthearted and the local, so we’re peeling back the greenhouse curtain to share the hilarious, quirky, and sometimes downright dramatic tales of the greenery we grow. From perennials with identity crises to shrubs that act like they own the place, our stories find the humor in the garden so you can bring a little extra joy back to your own backyard. After all, life is better when you’re laughing—especially when you’re doing it with a bit of dirt under your fingernails!
Our “busy lives” sometimes are so jammed pack and I’m learning I need to include a few moments of creating a sense of calm and escape. Our Story Time feed will share wild personalities of the plants that we have at LARSON’s Garden Center. The Concept: “The Botany of a Moment”
Instead of showing cute faces on flowers (which is fun), we focus on the raw, beautiful, and sometimes wild personality of the plants. Think of it as a brief, beautiful detour in a busy day—a moment to admire the texture of a leaf or the deep hue of a bloom. The “fun” here is in the surprise, the aesthetics, and the clever, grown-up voice.

We plan to post reels on Instagram and Facebook as a tease and possible interest. However, they are too quick to read so I decided to add to our website under posts.

The Schedule: WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY is our plan to post, again it’s based on our new current inventory one or two or three favorites. This will help letting you know our inventory newbies. Our inventory goes fast – so please keep that in mind.
